New work for eBay!

Whats up everyone! I have decided to put up some brand new art work on eBay today. My sales on eBay have been very good this past month. The problem is that I mostly have been selling all older works. Since I have had such success I decided to make a few paintings strictly for my fans on eBay. Bidding will start off at just 10.00 to keep things lively!! Check out the auction here and bid away!

New Art & The BP Oil Disaster

New work posted up! All my latest work is inspired by the horrible plight that sea life is having to endure because of the BP oil spill. These new pieces will be on display at Avondale Artworks(Jax,FL) for the month of July. Opening reception(drinks, snacks, good times) is Friday night, 7/2, from 6-9pm. I did these paintings to help raise fund for a bird and sea life rescue out in the FL panhandle. These folk have been working around the clock cleaning oil soaked birds and sea life since day one of the spill. I figured I would use my skill to help raise some much-needed funds! All proceeds will be donated to help buy supplies and cleaning products to help these poor animals out. Prints will be coming soon too!!! Thanks for the support and check out this months showing at Avondale Artworks! If interestd in a pre-show purchase just email me at bgrayart@bellsouth.net – All pieces are priced from 75.00-120.00- For details on each piece(dimesions, medium, etc) visit my “recent works” tab on the site here. Thanks

Oil Spill

Just a lil peek of my latest work. This isn’t a finished example of what I’m doing but, it give you an idea in the direction I’m heading in. I am doing a series of  paintings based on my disgust for the BP Oil spill and all the mess its creating. People are loosing jobs, the beaches are ruined, marshes are dying, and the animals are paying the ultimate price. I  plan on doing this series to help raise money for clean up relief. 100% of the proceeds will go to purchasing more cleaning supplies for the volunteers who bust their ass every day trying to save birds, turtles, and random sea life. Keep them eyes peeled. I should have the majority of the paintings done by next week.-PEACE

Look who is the featured artist in this weeks Folio Weekly here in Jacksonville. Mr Brian Gray himself folks! This it truly one of the best damn interviews that I have ever taken part in. Kara Pound did an excellent job writing about me, my work, and some of my history as an artist. Get you copy asap before there gone or just click on the image above to read the article about yours truly. Thanks a bunch Kara for doing such a great job on the interview and thanks to Folio for publishing a nice piece about me and my work. Rock on!

Malice in Wonderland- Pictures up!

I’m posting up my pictures from the Malice in Wonderland series today! Check out all eight paintings by visiting my “Originals for Sale” link on the website here. It was a hell of a lot of work and I learned a lot from the experience of doing such a big series. Eight paintings in just a couple of months is a lot of work. I’m, over all, pretty happy with the way the paintings turned out. Sure there were a couple of things I would have done different but, I’m still pretty happy with the turn out. If you want to see them up close just stop in at Avondale Artworks Gallery here in Jacksonville FL. The show will be up through the rest of April.

I also have available, for the first time, limited run giclee canvas prints available for each painting. They are prints on gallery wrapped canvas and look just as good as the original. Each giclee is signed, dated, and numbered in a limited run of only 25 prints each. The gicless are only 100.00 and will measure 11×14. If interested in a print contact Avondale Artworks or just drop me an email and I’ll get it done for you. Thanks to everyone who supported me during the process of pulling this off. Thanks to Ken Stutes at the gallery for giving me the freedom to do what I wanted to and for having faith in me and my work. A big thanks to Kelley(my wife) and Jeremy(my son) for being so understanding when I have a deadline and have to work for weeks on end to get things done right. Thanks to everyone who loves what I do and shows such great support when I need it most. The next series of work is all ready brewing in my head. Stay tuned folks…Im on a roll.

Malice in Wonderland- This Friday!

This time has finally come. I have been working on this show for the past two months and am very pleased with the work I’ve done. I will be featuring 8 brand spanking new paintings inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland @ Avondale Artworks during the month of April. The opening reception is on Friday(tomorrow) 4/2 from 6-9pm. The owner, Ken, at the gallery is also going to let people order high quality canvas print giclees for just 150.00 per canvas. This is the first time I have had such a killer option for people to buy a less expensive version of my work. The giclees that Ken creates are awesome and of the highest quality and I’m really happy to have this as a viable option for my paintings. I personally want to thank Ken Stutes at Avondale Artworks for allowing me the freedom to pull this series off and display my work in his gallery. Nothing is better that having the full support of the gallery that you display your work in. It’s very nice to work with someone like Ken who truly appreciates what I do and has faith in my work. I’m looking forward to the show and hope to see you all there! Ill be posting pics of the work after Friday so keep them eyes peeled.

My Artist Interview @ Bedynamik

Just finished an interview with the folks at BeDynamik. There website features a section called “Duval Talent” that features artists, musicians, poets, and local talents from all over Duval county. I had a lot of fun doing the interview and appreciate them taking interest in what I do. They didn’t quite get the spelling of my last name correct(Gray not Grey) but, it’s all good. Check out the entire interview here…http://bedynamik.com/?p=833 .-

Malice in Wonderland

Im super excited about the latest release of Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burton is heading this one up and from what I can tell…its gonna be awesome. I have always loved everything about the world of Wonderland. The queen, the card knights, Alice, the mad hatter, and just the magic found in Wonderland. It seems pretty fitting for my style of art work. I have decided to work on a series of paintings inspired by Alice and the world of Wonderland. I have already begun several sketches of the mad hatter, Alice, and the queens card knights. I will be working on getting this complete for a March showing at Avondale Artworks. Still need to sort out some details but, It’s on one way or another. I’ll post some sketches soon and some sneak peeks when I get things done. I really want to do several paintings, large and small, stuffed animals, and maybe even some sick t-shirt designs. I want this to be a lot of fun and offer up some killer work. The release for the Tim Burton version of Alice will be in March so I figured its fitting to have an opening at the beginning of March. Gives me plenty of time to get it done too. Keep them eyes peeled…this is gonna be fun!

Where to Find Me

Currently I am not participating in any art galleries. Untill I get back up to speed I most likey will not be a "regular" at any galleries for a little while. Thing may change but, I have killed myself time and time again trying to keep up with the demands of art shows and art galleries and Im trying to limit myself to that sort of thing so I can produce better quality work vs just a big quanity of work to fill up wall space. Im sure this will change here in 2012 but, Im being very picky about what I will and wont do.

Best bet is to stay in touch with me is through my website! Join my email subscription so ya dont miss out on what I have up and coming or find me on facebook.
