Im really excited about being a part of Designers in Toyland. This show is gonna rock. There are so many talented people in the show its crazy. I was also invited to do a live painting demo during the show. Im gonna be workig on a custom Mighty Mugg “LIVE” along side my friends and fellow artists Chad Landenberger, Clay Doran, & John O’Brian. Its gonna be awesome. My contribution for the show is a surprise! Im trying something I have never with before. I was considering doing a Munny for the show but, I figured there would be a lot of Munny action at the show all ready so, I took a different path. Ill post up some pics of what Im doing for the show later on next week. Ive been learning a lot on how to hand stitch some of my own lil characters. Its gonna be fun!!!!
AIGA Jacksonville is hosting its first custom toy show, Designers in Toyland, at the December Art Walk, December 2 from 5-9 pm at the 229 N. Hogan Street Studio. Over 80 artists will be exhibiting toys built from scratch or built upon existing toys. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to The Big Fun Box, an organization that provides activity kits to children who are hospitalized frequently and for extended periods.
