This is gonna be a lot of fun. I have recently been invited to participate in the “40 Ounces of Art Show” at The Empire State Studios in Oceanside, NY on October 3rd. All work has to be done using a 40oz bottle of any adult beverage. I have only done a few shows here and there in NY, will be cool to get back out that way and the owner seems really cool and very interested in having the artists he picked to keep working with the gallery out there for future shows, 40′s or not. When I first got this about a 40′s show I instantly thought of some Old English…and maybe pour out a little bit on the side walk for my homies. After I accepted the invite and contract I got an email back from the gallery asking if I needed to have them ship me a 40. Why you ask? Because Florida does not sell beer in 40oz bottles. I thought that was crazy so I stopped by the local ABC and asked them if the had 40oz beers and the answer is no, nope, nada, no way. Man, that sucks! So, I went onto eBay and there’s a seller on there with 40oz bottles(empty) for just 5.00 a piece. Problem solved. The concept I think is great an I’m looking forward to getting down to business. WORD!( I had to throw “word” in there…i mean come on)
